An ambitious, headstrong, fun-loving jokester; that's how I would describe my husband Steve. This year we have
been married for 14 years and over the 18 years that I have known him, I can honestly say, "what you see is what you get."
He has a very honest, up-front personality with strong ideals that can either rub you the wrong way or foster your
respect and admiration for him.
The last thing you'd notice about him is the fact that he's missing his right hand. There were people who had
known him for years, gone to school with him or worked with him who never noticed. There have been countless
times I have witnessed the awestruck reactions his abilities generate in those who see him in action. I have a
tendency to forget that he is missing his right hand because he does everything just as well, if not better than
everyone else.
Don’t ever tell him “you can’t” or “just wait…” because he will prove you wrong every time. He is a problem solver
in all aspects of life. I'm not sure if he was born with this disposition or acquired it through life’s challenges, but whether
it was the chicken or the egg that came first, it has made him the man I admired 18 years ago and the man that I admire
and adore still to this day. He is my best friend and I am so proud that he has never given up on his dreams.
With help through sponsorships and encouragement from friends and family, he is fulfilling one of his dreams.
Make your dreams come true baby.
Your loving wife,
Karyn
